On Friday, after reading the story “The Wind Blew” the kindergarteners worked together in groups to create and label things that the wind blew. They loved working together and getting to be creative.
On Thursday we got to partake in another fun Four Winds science lesson! This time our science took us outside with fun activities to learn all about water. Thanks Ms.French and Mrs.Miner! During choice time that we earn at the end of the day for working hard in math and reading/writing in the morning, the kindergarteners love this time to be creative, especially the opportunity to play with the blocks and using teamwork to see what they can build.
Kindergarteners were working hard today on designing their own posters about trash and recycling. They chose which topic they wanted to make their poster about, then drew/created pictures of items that should go in the trash vs. recycling and labeled them.
On Tuesday, Ms.Quigley and a guest reader (Alexa from 3rd grade) read a story to Kindergarten “Bug Makes a Splash” all about identifying feelings and building confidence. We really enjoyed the story. Thank you Ms. Quigley and Alexa!
Lots of fun in Kindergarten today celebrating our 100th day of school. We read the story “Mrs.Bindergarten celebrates the 100th day of Kindergarten, counted out our 100 collections, made 100th day of school fruit loop necklaces, and colored 100th day pictures. Check out some photos from our day! Kindergarten is working hard at continuing to work on our Daily 5 each day. Here’s a glimpse at some of things we are working on during Day 5. (Rainbow writing sight words, roll a sight word, sight word egg flip, listen to reading, etc.) the students really enjoy finding their own space to work that works best for them.
After all of our hard work this week we had a relaxing Friday. We read the story The Polar Express, did a story sequencing activity, then watched the movie of the Polar Express and had popcorn.
